The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) will hold its 45TH National Patient Meeting on September 11-13, 2020 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. The AAKP National Patient Meeting is the largest event of its kind in the United States, providing kidney patients, family members, living donors and caregivers with access to the most accurate and timely disease information through direct interaction, a variety of educational sessions and an extensive exhibit hall featuring vendors that provide products, devices, support and additional resources to those with kidney diseases.
AAKP will host a diverse line-up of speakers crossing all sectors of the kidney community including the top influencers in kidney care from Federal government, medical professionals, academia, private industry and non-profit professional organizations in the kidney community. MEETING PACKAGE REGISTRATION:
The Meeting Package includes entrance into the exhibit hall, educational sessions, an attendee tote bag, souvenir items, and meals including: three breakfasts, two lunches, afternoon breaks and dinner during the Saturday evening Awards Banquet. Continuing education credits available for nurses, social workers, dietitians, and dialysis technicians, pending approval from the accrediting agencies, with purchase of healthcare professional registration only.

ONE-DAY REGISTRATION:
One-day registration is also available for Sept. 11, 12, or 13. One-day registration includes entrance into exhibit hall, educational sessions and scheduled meal(s) for selected day. Continuing education credits available for nurses, social workers, dietitians and dialysis technicians, pending approval from the accrediting agencies, on selected day with purchase of healthcare professional registration only.

Scholarships:
Patient/Family Member Scholarships
Limited scholarships for patients and family members are available. Scholarships cover only the cost of the meeting registration, additional expenses such as travel and lodging must be covered by the attendee. Not all submissions will result in a scholarship. Hotel Reservations
Hotel Reservations at the Omni Shoreham Hotel
The group rate is $154/night (plus appilcable taxes) for rooms booked between Sept. 11 - 13, 2020 Reservations can be made by calling 1 (800) THE-OMNI, please reference the AAKP 2020 Meeting to receive the discount.
The deadline for reservations is August 19, 2020 at 5 p.m. or until the room block is full, so please make your reservation early! Once the room block is full and/or the deadline has passed, rooms will be available at the hotel’s going rate.

Self-parking is not available. Valet parking is $55/overnight.
Shipping Medical Supplies to the Hotel
Peritoneal Dialysis and Home Hemodialysis supplies can be shipped directly to the hotel. Label boxes with guest name and “AAKP Patient Meeting Attendee Medical Supplies.” The Omni is waiving all hotel fees for attendee medical supply boxes. To ensure you will not be charged, please label boxes appropriately. AAKP is not responsible for any charges for mislabeled boxes.
