The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) was founded in 1969 has evolved to be the primary source of advocacy, education, and interaction for Chronic Kidney Disease, End-Stage Renal Disease, Kidney Transplant Recipients and Living Kidney Donors, as well as the families and professionals who support them in improving their health and their lives.
AAKP is leading the effort to bring the kidney community together to promote conversation and to seek out serves that help maximize patients' everyday lives. Support groups, social media, online education with experts, national patient meetings, local presentations and periodicals all provide interactive forums for patients.
