The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) was founded in 1969 and has evolved to be the primary source of advocacy, education, and interaction for individuals at all stages of kidney disease and all modalities. Chronic Kidney Disease, End-Stage Renal Disease, Kidney Transplant Recipients and Living Kidney Donors, as well as the families and professionals who support them in improving their health and their lives quality of life.
AAKP is leading the effort to bring the kidney community together to promote conversation and to educate and engage patients on that latest information regarding kidney care, how to manage co-morbid conditions, innovations in the field, and personal experiences from fellow patients, family members, living donors and those affected by CKD.
