Group Details
Formed in 2007, the Bay Area Association of Kidney Patients (BAAKP) is an all-volunteer, non-profit group of kidney patients, medical and ancillary professionals, friends and family of affected individuals and interested participants. BAAKP’s mission is to EDUCATE and SUPPORT San Francisco Bay Area kidney patients in all aspects of our health condition. We offer three Educational Presentations with guest speakers each year, monthly Support Group meetings, and our Kidney Konnections newsletter, as well as other printed and online information via our interactive website and other social media. Support Group meetings alternate one Sunday each month, except in December, at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland, Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, or Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Palo Alto.
