Our mission is to provide compassionate emotional support to caregivers of transplant patients, including, but not limited to, Kidney, Heart, Liver, Lung and Pancreas, both pre and post. We strive to provide comfort and inspire hope to those impacted by caregiving through the sharing of caregiving information and by fostering social interactions through our monthly meeting at Tampa General Hospital. To welcome each person irrespective of their religious or cultural background, marital status, sexual preference or color or creed, to keep the group as calm and supportive as possible and to avoid the discussion of religion, politics, cultural issues and no bad language. To share wholesome humor and encouragement to all. To share experiences with medications but to remember that medical issues should and must be referred to the Transplant Team involved. To remember that every transplant experience is unique and we each react differently to medications. To invite others to join us on the journey.
