Speaker: Duane Sunwold. Duane is a Culinary and Hotel-Restaurant Management Instructor. He’s been teaching at Spokane Community College since 1981 where he has influenced countless chefs and hotel managers. Duane’s diagnosis of kidney disease was life-changing, leading him to publish dozens of journal articles and give a number of talks on his life-saving diet and transformation as a chef with a nutritional focus. An alumnus of SCC and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Duane once served as guest chef to Bill Gates and to the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary AB, Canada.
