Tampa, Fla., September 23, 2008 – The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) is seeking Congressional support of a bill, the Organ Donor Clarification Act of 2008, to amend the National Organ Transplant Act to clarify law related to public incentives for organ donation.

TAMPA, Fla., April 30, 2008 – The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) sent a letter to Sen. John Kerry (D – Massachusetts) asking him to support a Medicare sponsored home hemodialysis program. AAKP is the largest kidney patient organization in the United States founded and directed by patients.

Tampa, Fla., May 1, 2008 – The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) is seeking support from Congress members for S. 2320, the Comprehensive Immunosuppressive Drug Coverage for Kidney Transplant Patients Act of 2007. The bill would extend Medicare coverage for immunosuppressive drugs for the life of the kidney.
