Here’s what AAKP members are saying about 2025. In their own words….

As I look ahead to 2025, I am committed to cultivating a more intentional approach to self-care and personal growth. Having experienced more than one transplant, I recognize the importance of nurturing my well-being and striving to become the best version of myself.
In the coming year, I will prioritize setting clear boundaries and embracing opportunities that challenge me to step beyond my comfort zone. My passion for mentoring within the kidney community remains top of mind, and I am eager to use my gifts to empower others along their journeys.
Here’s to an extraordinary 2025 filled with growth, connection, and meaningful contributions!

My resolution for this year is to increase awareness about kidney disease and to hopefully impress our elected officials to pass the Living Donor Protection Act (LPDA) and fund early screening for kidney disease in ALL PATIENTS no matter their age or underlying conditions!

As Jimmie and I have enjoyed our travels and managed to get to 42 states in three years, his goal is to make it to the remaining ones we have missed. We also want to continue to touch the lives of patients and care partners, giving them hope of a more normal life even with kidney failure. Staying involved in the many aspects of the kidney community such as AAKP, ESRD Network, NKF, and to continue our advocacy work with NxStage.

My resolution for 2025 is to take a deep breath every now and then. Calm my nerves, tamper the anxiety, and embrace the gift of life that my fiancé has been given.

My resolution for 2025 is to take a deep breath every now and then. Calm my nerves, tamper the anxiety, and embrace the gift of life that my fiancé has been given.

My 2025 goal is to honor my donor’s lifesaving gifts of Ren & Stimpy by becoming a Board-Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) and amplifying the voices of underrepresented Warriors.

In 2025, I will share my kidney donation story with as many people as possible and learn even more about treatments & policies that help patients living with kidney disease.
