Renee Bova-Collis has worked in the field of kidney disease since 1993. As the Patient Services Director at Quality Insights Renal Network 5, Renee is a Social Worker who directly talks to patients offering resources and assistance.
Renee was on the AAKP Board of Directors from 2006-2013. She took a leave from her leadership activities with AAKP for a few years in order to care for her mother. This year’s AAKP National Patient Meeting will be her first since 2013.
Renee hopes to see old and new faces at the meeting this fall. Her favorite activity at the AAKP National Patient Meeting is Lunch with an Expert. Renee says that it allows patients to sit down to lunch with doctors and other experts and ask any questions or concerns that they might have. Additionally, Renee hopes that patients learn about the wide array of treatments available to them at the AAKP National Patient Meeting, as many patients may not be aware that there are multiple treatment options. Renee is very excited to serve on the 2019 AAKP National Patient Meeting Planning Committee. As someone who wants to help people and has been in the industry for a long time, she hopes patients can come to the meeting and find the support and answers they’re looking for. AAKP’s 44th National Patient Meeting: Driving Innovation & Changing the Status Quo, will be held September 6th – 8th, 2019 in Washington, D.C.
